Bristol Myers is a native Texan, born in Big Spring and raised in Houston. Bristol graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996. He majored in political science and served as a distinguished member of the Corps of Cadets. He remains active in the Aggie Network through his participation in the Association of Former Students and the Capitol City A&M Club.
In 1999, Bristol graduated with honors from Valparaiso University School of Law, settled in Austin, and went directly into private practice. An ardent defender of those accused of crimes, he is proud to have never worked as a prosecutor.
Eight months after he was licensed to practice law, he earned front page headlines for his defense of a mother facing extradition for parental kidnapping charges. Since that time, his trial experience has covered a vast array of offenses from DWI, assault and drug cases, to capital murder and securities fraud.
